Robbin Miller, LMHC - Consultant and Advocate
Promoting Independence and Quality of Life
for Persons with Disabilities and Elders

When individuals observe their family members experiencing memory losses, changes in mood swings, and declining physical functioning, they start to feel all sorts of emotions such as sadness, anger, and fear, that reminds them that their loved ones can not longer take care of them as the person they once knew.

People ask themselves why these changes are happening to their loved ones.

We can look at this situation from a holistic and spiritual opportunity to understand:

"Change whether it is small or big, can be scary and frightening to many individuals. How we respond and handle changes can be a positive opening for a person to explore the inner wisdom that is inside of oneself.  Being in the present moment with a loved one can lead a to new beginning of a relationship for everyone."

Robbin believes in the Independent Living Philosophy of empowering individuals and families to create the best quality of life and independence  for themselves and for their loved ones with mental health issues and disabilities.
